UEFA EURO 2012

UEFA EURO 2012 is a competition of football gathering the best national teams of football in Europe.

This year, for its fourteenth edition , the competition will take place in Poland and in Ukraine. The participating teams are : Poland , Ukraine , Spain , Netherlands ,
Germany , Italy , England , Russia , Croatia , Greece , Portugal , Sweden , Denmark , France , Czech Republic and Ireland. There are sixteen teams in competition.
The competition starts on  8 June and ends on first July 2012 . There are 4 groups of 4 teams.
In Poland, the matches will take places in : Warsaw, Poznan , Wroclaw and Gdansk.
In Ukraine, the matches will take places in : Kiev , Donetsk , Kharkiv and Lviv.
The teams will meet the opponents of their group in the first round and the 2 teams who will end first and second in each group will be qualified for the second round (1/8th final , quarter final, semi-final and the prestigious final !!!).
This competition was created by the UEFA in 1960. It's organised every four years and the titleholders are Spain (2) and Germany (3).
Every four years , the competition is very funny for the lovers of football !!!!
