She was born on 1st June 1926, at General Hospital in Los Angeles.
Her real name was Norma Jane Mortenson.
She was an American actress and singer.
She died on 5th August 1962 in Los Angeles.
In the 1950s, she became a Hollywood star and a sex-symbol.
Her best successes: Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, The Seven Year Itch or Some Like it Hot . She got a Golden Globe for best actress in the 1960s.
I think Marilyn Monroe didn’t have an easy life!!!

The 11th SEPTEMBER 2001

On the 11th September 2001, four suicide attacks took place on the same day in the United States by members of Al-Qaida. In the morning, 19 terrorists destroyed 4 planes. 2 planes crashed on the 2 twin towers of the World Trade Center in Manhattan and a third on the Pentagon in Washington. The fourth plane crashed in Shanksville.
The consequence of this event was economic and human.

New York is in the north of the United States. It is a very young city, famous for its shows in Broadway, its museums, its famous buildings and its parades in the city, especially on Saint Patrick’s Day on 17th March.
I have never gone to the United States but I'd like to go there because I'd like to see the famous buildings and to see their culture.

You have to throw the ball in the ring of your opponent.
The team who's got more points wins.
This game looks like basketball.

There are many beautiful landscapes and famous writers.
I think this country is very rich in history, in national heritage and in culture (museum, landscape, actor and actress, and writers).

The country is on the South of Africa and has got borders with Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Swaziland and Lesotho.
The president's house is the Mahlamba Ndlopfu. Matjiesfontein is a history city.
This country must be difficult to live in because there isn't a lot of water but there are lots of people with a lot of different skin colours.
I don't want to go to this country because it's too far.

I would like to go to New Zealand because it has got many beaches and hot water.
New Zealand's beaches have got very big waves and it looks very funny.

Stonehenge

Stonehenge is a famous place in England. It was made in the Neolithic. It is made of rocks. A Celtic tribe did magic things in this place. It is made with a lot of “doors” in rock which form a circle. This is the most supernatural place in the world because there are strange facts happening there.
I would like to go to Stonehenge because this is a mythical place and I love mythical things.

This day takes place on 14th February. It is a party dedicated to lovers. Originally, it was a party for the Catholic church. Often, the boys (or the men) enjoy to do their declaration to the one they love. I find that this party is good but it is almost not celebrated any more.

Silicon Valley is an industrial park you can find in the south part of the San Francisco bay, in California, on the West coast of the States . Silicon Valley doesn't mean Valley of silicone but Valley of silicon (“silicium”) . It is an industrial area specialized in new technologies. Perhaps there are lots of industrial factories there.

THE FIRST STEP ON THE MOON

On the 16th July 1969, the space capsule “Apollo 11” took off in Florida with 3 astronauts : Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins. The mission was to bring the 3 astronauts on the moon. On the 21st July, Neil Armstrong was the first to run on the moon and he planted the flag of the U.S.A..
I think it was probably great but stressful.

William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare was the greatest tragic poet and writer in the English culture.
He was born on 26 April 1564 and died on 23 April 1616 in
Stratford-Upon-Avon. He was English. He died at the age of 52. He wrote comedies and tragedies.
William Shakespeare wrote Romeo and Juliette , Julius Caesar.
The French like Romeo and Juliet a lot. I don't know a lot of plays by William Shakespeare.

St Patrick's day

It's a national holiday in Ireland. It takes place on 17th March.
Many people go to a parade, they eat and drink a lot of Irish specialties (in particular alcoholic drinks). And the beer flows constantly. Everybody dresses in green and carries a clover.
They do that in the honor of St Patrick, a missionary who converted Ireland to Christianity and to celebrate the Irish culture.
I think it is a fun party.

Uluru - Australia

Uluru is a sandstone “inselberg” in the centre of Australia. It is a sacred place for the people, they realized rock paintings illustrating a big important knowledge. It is an emblem in Australia, discovered by the Westerners in 1873. It became a tourist attraction in 1940. I would like to visit it because this is a beautiful place.

Her heir is Prince Charles since 1952. She lives in England. She is popular.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on the 2nd October 1869 in Porbandar.

Gandhi was an important political leader of India and the movement for the independence of the country.
He was at the origin of the movement for freedom and the civil laws around the world.

Gandhi is considered as the father of the nation, his birthday is India's national holiday.

I think that Gandhi has been a very good character for the planet. He has brought peace around the world.

He died in Delhi on the 30th January 1948.
