Wingsuit flying, an extreme sport

 

Wingsuit flying is a very dangerous sport. To practise it, you must jump from a cliff or from a plane. You must wear a special suit made for this sport : it looks like a bat spreading its wings.

This sport is more and more famous and there are competitions all over the world.

There are also many spectacular videos you can watch on You Tube.

My favourite song

 

I chose the song « hypnotize » of the rock metal music band « Systeme of a down »

which was released in 2005.

This song criticizes the society in which we live, it speaks of TV and trademarks. It says that we are hypnotized by the media, for example in the text we find : « In this world the people who are easily influenced are easy prey for its sharks ».

I like this song because I like its melody and it contains a good message.

Horses

 

 

My favorite animal is the horse, it is a mammal.

The horse is nice, brave and it is a friendly animal but it is a lot of work to take care of a horse :

I have to feed him, it eats grass in the summer and hay in the winter. I clean him and I go for a walk with him.

I love riding a horse too.

My favourite star is the French singer Calogero. He is 46 and he was born in Echirolles, near Grenoble in France. He is a musician, a singer and he writes his own songs. When he was younger he sang with his brothers in a group called "Les Charts". He also composed songs for many other singers. Calogero plays the bass, but also the piano and the guitar. He likes the Beatles and Paul McCartney, one of the best bass players in the world! He won many musical rewards like : NRJ Music Awards, Victoire de la musique (for the song "Un jour au mauvais endroit" about the double murder in his natal city, Echirolles, in 2012), Grand prix de l'UNAC, Prix radio France and best album of the year from the radio RTL, etc.

Hi !

I like Paris because there are a lot of shops and a lot of people.

I love the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Arc de Triomphe.

Paris by night is very beautiful, especially when the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe are on.

But I don't like the underground because I really feel oppressed.

           My female rat

I have a rat, a female rat. It is so cute and so suave ! Its name is Ohana ; it comes from the cartoon called “Stitch”. Ohana means family, which means that nobody gets left behind or forgotten.

It is a great rat, it is little and it is super endearing.

I love this rat because it is like a baby. A rat doesn't eat a lot of food and it loves dry apples.

There's a famous movie about a rat, its name is “Ratatouille”. It's my favourite movie because it's funny ; it speaks of a rat who knows how to cook and becomes the boss in the kitchen of a big restaurant.

Rugby

  I chose rugby because it is my favorite sports and I have practised it since I was 5 years old.

    It was invented in 1823 by William Webb Ellis in England in the city of Rugby.

     This sport is practised on a field outside.Two teams of 15 players confront with an oval ball which bounces very unexpectedly. The players must mark a try with feet and hand. I love this sport because it is a full sport.

     To win, you must score more points than the other team. The match lasts 2 periods of 40 minutes .There is always a very hot atmosphere in the stands but there is never any violence.

     It is a team sport with contact and fight where respect is on the first line. I love this spirit that I share with my team in la Mure and which teaches the rules of life.

Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela was born on 18th July 1918. He was a South Africa man.

-In 1952, he created a protest movement against the racist laws of his country. His fight made him the most famous political prisoner in the world.

-In 1962 Mandela was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment. The authorities wanted to stop him. He was offered freedom against silence. Mandela refused.

 

-After 27 years of captivity, Mandela was freed by President Frederik De Klerk. Racism against black stopped, and in 1993, Mandela and De Klerk received the Nobel Peace Prize

 

-Mandela was elected president in 1994 until 1999.

 

-For lots of people he was the father of the new Republic of South Africa -He died on 5th December 2013

Downhill mountain biking (DH)

 

  
Downhill mountain biking is a sport which was created in 1996. This sport consists of going down off road with bicycles and jumping over obstacles.
There are different types of bikes : Dh (specialized for downhill) and Enduro (lighter).
Downhill bikes are bigger, stronger and heavier than other mountain bikes.
We practise especially in the mountains. You need an equipment to ride (a helmet, dorsal and shin guards).
