"N" : my holidays in Bari

I am going to tell you about my last holidays in Bari, in Italy. My parents and their friends rent a big car and we were all in the same car. We were very happy because the journey lasted 16 hours.
We could sleep in the van at the back.

When we arrived in Bari at the campsite it was very beautiful. We were very tired but really happy to arrive. There were many olive trees, two big swimming-pools and many houses (trulli), small typical houses.
Every day we had breakfast in a big room we could choose different things to eat : cornflakes, butter croissants, cakes, ham...

We often went to the sea, we took the car and we could choose between two different seas : "the Adriactic" or the "Ionian" sea. My favorite sea was the Ionian sea because the water was very beautiful, clear and hot.
We went diving with my friends with masks and snorkels. We played and stayed a lot of time under the water. We could see small fishes ; yellow, blue brown and black.

One day we went to a small town called Alberobello. It's a typical town with "trullis" everywhere. It's really beautiful! All the trullis are white with a grey roof. We went to visit Lecce, it's a very nice town with monuments and a lot of churches. The week after, we went to a big zoo, it's the biggest zoo in Europe ! We could see the animals very well and touch them. At the beginning, we saw a vivarium, we could see crocodiles very well,they were very near ! Then we took a small train to see the monkeys, they were baboons. They were everywhere, one hundred ! We could give them some peanuts. They could climb on the roof of the train, it was very strange!
After we took a small boat to go to a small island to see very small monkeys, it was fun ! we could give them some fruits and touch them.
Then we went to a show of dolphins and sea lions. It was magic! After, we went into a big romm there were dinosaurs (like robots). We could touch them and they moved their legs and their head.

The day after, my family and all our friends went to the sea. On the cliff, there was a big hole with water. It was very high (more than 7 meters). We jumped in the water, it was a lot of fun ! We stayed a long time to see the people jump.

One evening at the campsite, there was a party with dinner and a D.J.. Everybody was here to dance ! There were Germans, Italian, French people and it was very nice because there were many lights around the swimming-pools and in the park. Sometimes the swimming pool was pink or green and the trees in the parks were blue or yellow !

Those were my favourite holidays in Italy, I hope to go back there soon !
