The Sumatra Earthquake

A magnitude 7.6 earthquake occurred on 30th September, 2009, in the Indian Ocean, near the Island of Sumatra. Then, a tsunami arrived on the Island after the earthquake, which caused one thousand deaths. In 2004, an earthquake had already occurred in the same place.

Football match

France qualified for the round before the quarterfinals of the World Cup to be held in South Africa in 2010.They won against Ireland because of " the hands of Thierry Henry".
The FIFA did not want to re-play the game after this hand. So the score remains 2 to 1 for France.
The other qualified teams are also Algeria, Greece etc. Portugal is still struggling to qualify.
