Firefighters

 

I love firefighters because I have been a little firefighter since I was a little boy and I want to become a firefighter.

I like training with them and I am waiting for the day when I will be able to help people.

I love it when we run for the "St Barbe" cross.

I hate it when we don't use water during the training manoeuvre.

I would like to take part to more fire simulations and I want to go on interventions but I am too young : I must wait till I am 16.

I think it's very difficult to change the age limit because firefighters are very important and their job is very dangerous , it's a lot of responsability when dealing with victims.

San Francisco

San Francisco is an American city. It is beautiful because it has one big bridge (Golden Gate Bridge), several parks and beaches, a famous prison (Alcatraz), a famous cable car and a mythical place: Lombard Street. San Francisco is a touristic city, it is a city where it is often hot.

Motocross

 

Motocross is an extreme sport of motorcycle competition consisting of a speed race on a rough terrain circuit. The first motocross event took place in England in 1924. The sport then expanded considerably in Great Britain, then in Belgium and France. 

This sport is practiced on a cross-country motorcycle that is not accredited and prepared to resist the various shocks and to adapt to the rugged terrain and difficult surfaces that the circuit will present.

This sport has like other sports its own champions : Stefan Everts was ten times world champion, and he is the most emblematic personality of this discipline.

Skiing

 

There are several disciplines in skiing, such as:

Downhill skiing

It is the fastest discipline. Downhill skiing requires speed, technical control and courage.

Slalom skiing

Routes are the shortest, but they contain a large number of doors.

The giant slalom requires big precision, the sense of rhythm and the strength to negotiate every bend.

Super-giant slalom

In super-giant slalom

the competitors have a time limit to explore the slope.

Ski jumping

The skiers descend a special take-off ramp, jump and try to go as far as possible.

The skis which are used for ski jumping are long and wide.

The super combined

The super combined is a discipline which combines downhill and slalom on the same day.

Cross-country skiing

Cross-country skiing is practised on flat ground, it includes Nordic skiing and biathlon. It is a perfect sport of endurance.

Off-piste skiing

Off-piste skiing consists in traveling down slopes which have not been packed down. They are not crowded. This discipline gets more sensations than skiing on traditional slopes but it is more dangerous.

Skiing can be considered as leisure or be practised in competition

It is located in the middle of the Mojave desert.

It's very famous for its casinos.

 

It's very popular with tourists and it is very beautiful.

 

It has large towers and there are lots of amusement parks.

Many stars live there and the population is of about 2,000,000 people.

 

The city was made in 1855 and it has got a lot of malls like ''the fashion show mall ''.

 

I chose this topic because it's my favourite city in the world.

I'm very fond of a web game ; its name is Eldarya.

Eldarya is a romance and fantasy game. It has 768,000 players. The players go on adventures and meet magical creatures. Sometimes we can see an ad for another game called Amour sucre (8,400,000 players).

The heroine comes into a mushroom circle and then arrives into an another world (Eldarya).

The heroine has a lot of amazing pets. I like this game because the heroine is funny to see.

These ingredients are more present in industrial candies but they can be found in traditional candies too.

He was a comedian, a famous humorist and an actor. He had a César (it's a French award) for best actor in ''Tchao Pantin'' in 1984.

 

He created the charity called ''Les restos du cœurs'' (to help poor people) in 1985.

 

He died on 19^th June 1986 in a motorcycle accident.

 

I liked him because he was a very funny and sensitive person.

Turtles

Turtles belong to the reptilian family.

Their characteristic is that they have a shell on their back.

There are different kinds of turtles: land turtles (a.k.a. tortoises) and aquatic turtles.

Turtles can live in different parts of the world.

A lot of turtles are endangered because the place where they live is threatened.

I like turtles because a turtle visited me in Corsica last summer and I gave her something to eat (strawberries and pieces of tomatoes). They are not very shy but we don’t have the right to take them home.

The Berlin attack

The Berlin attack happened on the 19^th December 2016 at around 8p.m. during the Christmas market. Nine people were killed and a lot of people were wounded. The scene was horrible because a truck raced into the market.
 
I am amazed and shocked by this attack and I support the German population.

An avalanche in Italy buried a mountain hotel

On Wednesday 20th January 2017 an 

avalanche buried a mountain hotel in the

center of Italy.

 

The avalanche destroyed the Rigopiano

hotel, in the Abruzzo region. On Saturday, the

total number of survivors was nine

people with 4 children. 5 people died and

23 people were still missing.

The avalanche was probably triggered

by a big earthquake.

The emergency services tried their

best to find the missing people.

 

When I heard about this piece of news

I felt concerned because I live in the

Alps where snow avalanches are

frequent. This could have happened not far

from my school.

 

I'm impressed by the work of the

emergency services. They are very

courageous because they endanger

their own lives to save other people.

Snowboarding

I began snowboarding when I was 6. Before, I did skiing in the small ski resort l'Alpe du Grand Serre.

I wanted to do snowboarding because I wanted to know other things. Of course, I wasn't afraid because I trusted my ski instructor. I learnt to jump with my snowboard. This sensation is magic, it is like being a tree leaf flying.

Dolphins

My favorite animal is the dolphin. It belongs to the cetacean and vertebrae family. It hunts in groups.

It’s a beautiful animal, it saves lives. It likes playing with people and children, or with a ball.

It lives in warm seas and it can live until thirty-five years old. It eats a lot of fish everyday and it likes fries but it can't find it in the sea. It is 2,60m long on average and it weighs between 150kg and 650kg.

We can see dolphins in aquatic parks such as Marineland. The show with dolphins is very beautiful. They are very intelligent, smart and funny. I love them.

My cat

 

My cat's name is Garfield, he was born on April 26th 2013. Garfield is a European cat. We adopted him when he was two months old.

Garfield, like all cats, is a big sleeper. He sleeps 16 hours per day on average. But at night he is active because he hunts mice and brings them back like trophies.

We often say the cat always falls on its paws, it's true because he is very flexible but sometimes if the fall is short he can be seriously injured.

We often say a black cat brings bad luck. It was a superstition in the Middle Ages. Fortunately thanks to the stories of Charles PERRAULT « le chat botté » (Puss in Boots), the cat became a pet.

Did you know that ?

* The cat purrs from the first weeks of his life. It's true my cat purrs when I stroke it or when I give him his food.

* Do not give them milk because it makes them sick.

* So that the cat doesn't sharpen his claws on the furniture, we give him a scratcher. When he is outside he

sharpens them on a piece of wood.

* Garfield's whiskers are very long, he uses them for his environment. They are sensitive to vibration and touch.

They should never be cut because it will be difficult for the cat to explore its environment and communicate with other cats.

*Garfield has a tattoo, it's his identity card and he's vaccinated against many diseases some of which are transmissible to humans, notably rabies.

At home we love and respect animals and Garfield is a member of our family.

The 13th November attack

 

The 13th November attack was terrible : 103 people died and 413 were wounded but the GIGN killed the terrorists.

 

The attack happened in 2015 in Paris. It was my birthday.

 

The French President paid a tribute to the people who died in the attack. They were attacked because of religion. The terrorists wanted to be part of history. They were 4 to ravage the country.

 

We will never forget the victims !

Wolves

 

My favourite animal is the wolf. It belongs to the canidea family. I love it because it's beautiful and I enjoy its character and its way of life.

The motocross of Nations is a motocross race that brings together several nations.

Every nation has a team of three pilots.

This race takes place once a year and usually finishes the season of motocross.

It’s a rare opportunity where the best pilots of different championships (American, European ...) meet to confront.

I love this race because I love motocross, I have a Kawasaki.

There are more than 17 million people in Los Angeles. L. A. is in California. Rich people live in Los Angeles.

 

This city is also famous for its cinema industry. A lot of celebrities were born and live in L.A. (Angelina Jolie, Cameron Boyce, Leonardo Di Caprio, Will I Am…).

 

There is a big airport (Lax) and there are a lot of white sandy beaches (like Venice Beach, Santa Monica…). It’s a big metropolitan city.

 

I love this town because it’s very big and I love cinema.

 

My dream is to go to Los Angeles one day.
